Oh the Horror!

I just had a terrible thought. Cherilyn mentioned that Sydney is excessively clothed due to my trips to Carters. We aren't planning to stop with one baby, so if we have another girl do I have to stop buying clothes!!! What am I going to do?!!?!?!

Dirty Jobs

Mere minutes ago Sydney and I were sitting watching Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. It's a very interesting and entertaining show where Mike goes around showcasing jobs that are not always dirty, but are usually important jobs that people don't normally think of. Sydney in the spirit of the show expressed her enjoyment in the form of a poop. When I picked her up I noticed a slippery substance on her foot. I thought it might be sweat....but you already know what it was. Looking down at myself I also noticed multiple brown spots on my shirt and pants. Perhaps Sydney was just looking out for me. The Twins/Royals game is about to start and I was still wearing my Twins shirt. As a true Royals fan she knew that couldn't stand. Luckily she noticed, and now she is bathed and I am wearing a different shirt in preparation for cheering on the Royals. Poop is becoming one of her best communication methods along with crying, cooing, screaming, smiling, and squirming.

Juicy Buns and Rice Cereal

Tonight we took my parents to the Tea House which is delicious.  If you like chinese food and are in the cities you should eat there.  One of the residents that worked with Cherilyn was from Hong Kong. He took us there and said it was the most authentic Chinese food in the cities.  It was very good.  Juicy Buns.  It's not just a description of my posterior.  It's also a delicious appetizer.  Sydney seemed jealous of the tasty food so we decided to try some Rice Cereal.  She got her first cold over Easter, so she is fighting that right now.  But for the most part she seemed to enjoy it.  Her patience got a little thin as you can see in the second video.  Probably because we moved her to the bumbo and she could use her hands. She got tired of it and just wanted the real thing.  But we are encouraged that she will enjoy the solid edibles.

Nana and G-Pops Visit

Now that we are back from Cherokee, Nana and G-Pops are taking some time off to visit.  Sydney and I saw Nathan and Sarah on Monday morning, and then Nana and G-Pops got here a little after noon.  We were planning on going to the Twins game Tuesday, but it got rained out and rescheduled for Thursday.  Hopefully the weather is nicer then.  She's had a lot of fun with them these last two days.  Hopefully it'll be nice tomorrow for my first softball game of the season.  If not then I'm sure Nana will decide to stay with her at home.

Mother and Babe

PawPat's Pics

While we were in Cherokee I stole some of Pat's pictures.  He certainly has a knack for catching her at the right time as evidenced by the first two pics here.

I think this next one is my new favorite

The rest are some nice pics from around Christmas.  She's so small in these it's amazing.

What's up now Chris!

5 Months Old and Easter

Saturday Sydney turned 5 months old.  We went down to Cherokee to visit Cherilyn's family.  When we first arrived we were greeted by screams....Yes screams.  Of joy?  Probably.  But that wouldn't have been discernible to an unbiased listener. Definite screams.  We had fun hanging out a the Great Grandparents house with all the Kleihauers.  Later that night Paul and Deb brought over Xzavier and Kalexis to meet Sydney. Odin made sure we didn't forget about him either.

Hangin' with Nanette

I think I had the same reaction to the singing bunny

Exhausting

Odin is upset that everyone is blocking his view of the window

This morning we went to church and then had lunch before heading back out.  We tried to take a family picture with Odin and it mostly worked.  It looks like I'm the one messing up the pictures instead of him.  We still got some good pics of Sydney in her Easter Dress
