We flew into Seattle and learned a valuable lesson right away. When Southwest says its a direct flight it means that you don't get off the plane, not that you go straight to your destination. We figured that we wouldn't need lunch because we were taking off at 11 and landing at 4. We ate some breakfast at the airport so of course we'll be fine. Except 4 in Seattle is 6 in St. Paul and we would be stopping in Phoenix as well even though it didn't tell me that on the itinerary. So after 7 1/2 hours and 10 mini bags of pita chips we arrived in Seattle to see Nate. Sydney slept through both takeoffs again which is 6 of 6 so far lifetime. She also met another young traveler before our first flight. She's definitely a much better traveler than we are.

When we landed we were famished so Nate took us to the first dining establishment that we saw. Denny's. It was the most amazing food I've ever tasted. Heading up from Seattle to Oak Harbor we took a ferry over to Whidby Island. Seagulls abounded so Cherilyn took cover inside the cabin while we hung out on the bow.
That night we hung out with Nate and he showed me the most amazing kitchen appliance I have ever seen. A minikeg tap system that fits right on the kitchen counter. I was in too much shock to take a picture. We enjoyed delicious homebrew draught, reminisced, and watched Game Of Thrones.
