A long time coming

Hello all.  We have been meaning to start a blog for a long time now and finally here it is.  2010 was a very busy year for our family.  The biggest change was the birth of our daughter Sydney on November 23, 2010.  Since we didn't yet have a blog yet during my pregnancy and at her birth I thought this first post could be a pictorial summary of the last year.  So here it goes....

March 2010 we found out we were pregnant, and in April we had our first look at Sydney with our first ultrasound.  We couldn't wait to tell everyone so we started calling our family right when we left the doctor's office.

A few weeks later we had another ultrasound to screen for genetic defects and got an even better look at our little lady.  She was curled up during this ultrasound and I had to cough to get her move to get an accurate crown rump length which caused her to jump.

Here she is jumping.

One of the other big events of 2010 was that I finished residency at University of Minnesota St. Joseph's Family Medicine Program and started a new job as faculty at the program.  Here is my awesome residency class with our program director.
Here we are  displaying awards I won for Resident of the Year and the Pharmacy Award.  Dave sure cleans up well.

My baby bump, which we nicknamed "Tubby", is clearly visible at this point.

To be continued in the next post...
