Snow Fun

Sydney has been begging to play in the snow for awhile.  Since the temperatures had been below 0 we weren't going outside.  But this weekend it was a balmy 29 outside.  Sydney was in heaven.  She refused to come inside even after Mommy and Daddy both took turns playing with her outside.  Kylie doesn't have the right footwear, and when I put some of Sydney's old shoes on her she just stood there looking down at her feet and then back up at me.  She's always been a master of the skeptical look, but this was easily her best.  We went outside but she refused to move.

In Charge

Cherilyn: Sydney, who is in charge?

Sydney: Mommy is in charge?

Cherilyn: Why is mommy in charge?

Sydney: Because when I get bigger I want to be in charge.

Yup, that sounds about right.  

Sydney Says Take a Picture

Sydney has been anti-photography recently.  Which is wonderful since I just got the new camera.  But this morning she said "Daddy take a picture of my funny face."  Done and done.

Spoony Spoon

Kylie has started using utensils.  She's getting pretty decent at it now.  We are trying to give her the opportunity to practice as much as possible.  This also gives me the opportunity to take my favorite kind of picture.  The open mouth mid-bite shot.

Iowa Part 1

Here are some of the pictures from Sioux City.  I have been trying for awhile to get new pictures but the memory card doesn't want to talk to the computer.  I'll figure it out sometime soon.

Christmas

We are very happy to be in a new house where we can spread out and have space.  I have never really felt like decorating for Christmas until this year.  We put up lights outside and we got a tree and stockings.  Sydney loved every bit of it.  Especially when we got the stockings.  She was at daycare when they were delivered.  I put them up on the mantle, and when she came home and saw them she lit up.  "Santa brought Stockings!!!!  Look Look Look!!!"  For the next few days she would take down the stockings every few minutes to show everyone their stockings.  We had our Christmas before we went out of town.  Sydney was almost as excited as when the stockings showed up, and Kylie was very tired but happy.

New Camera

For Christmas, Santa got me a present.  Santa looked on Amazon and saw that there was a good camera on discount.  Santa is very generous.  Santa also looks a lot like me.
