9 Month Old

Sydney is now 9 months old.  And with that milestone we get another doctor's visit.  Sydney is 29 1/2 inches which is 97th percentile.  Her weight has gone down to 75th percentile.  She's at 20 lbs. 8oz.  Her head is 44cm which is right down them middle of the percentiles.  She is a happy baby.  She has started to sit up all on her own now.  She learned to pull herself up people and things from her cousin Julien.  I think that is what started her learning to sit up.  She has also started doing a half army crawl.  But only when she sees something she really really wants.  Like a phone or remote control.  Which is exactly how I captured this video of her doing a genuine crawl for a massive and lengthy 5ft.

Green Beans and Peaches and Plums Oh My!

Tonight we made homemade baby food for the first time. We started out with Green Beans, Peaches and Plums. I also bought some Sweet Potatoes and Squash to puree tomorrow. We have also tried avocado and bananas but those are way too easy. You don't really need to do anything to those to transform their essence into baby food. In fact I found one recipe called Avonana or was it Banacado. Either way you just take the two of them and mash them together and it's product is a heaping mess of delicious. Here are pictures of our culinary adventures. Tomorrow on to Squash and Sweet Potatoes.

Sleep

Our household met a great milestone last weekend.  I stopped feeding Sydney at night which lead to her sleeping through the night for the first time in her almost nine months of life.  HOORAY!!!!  Needless to say, this has been my favorite milestone so far.  Mommy likes getting to sleep through the night too.

Just when you think it's safe to go out to the local eatery.  Sydney Attacks!

At first it seems ok

She waits until you least suspect it

She kicks first

And then she goes in for the attack!

Then sneaks over the top from behind

She'll switch targets without warning

Always be vigilant, or you could be the next victim
