Mimic

Lately Sydney has been trying to imitate us when we say things.  The first time I noticed we were walking down the stairs and she pointed up at the lights.  I said "Do you see the lights?"  She nodded a few times as we continued downstairs.  Once we were downstairs she ran over to the stairs again and pointed up and said Lights.  Or as close to it as she could pronounce.  Looks like my road rage days have to come to an end.  And now more cute pictures.

Play time with Little People

For Christmas Sydney received somewhere between many and all toys ever made in the history of toy-making.  As she sifted through the pile of fun, one toy emerged victorious.  Little People.  As you can probably guess they are toys resembling people, but they are little.  Also what really sets them apart are blocks that stack together like jumbo legos.  She loves to take those apart, put them back together, and run around the room carrying them.  When I went to Target I saw a large bin full of Little People and large amount of these stackable blocks.  Now she likes to carry around the bin as well as all the blocks.  Ahh good times.

Christmas Blocks

Cherilyn and I both loved blocks when we were growing up.  So we decided to get Sydney a set.  She doesn't quite know what to do with them yet, but she does know that they make noise when you bang them together.

Sleep Struggles

I apologize for my blogging lapse.  For the last month or so Sydney has decided that morning starts at 4 am.  I have done my best to reason with her, but I don't think that I am very convincing at that hour of night....day...morning...early.  That hour of early.  So rather than blogging I have been sleeping during my free time.  However my body is either learning to cope with a lack of sleep, or I am sleep blogging.  Either way I will attempt to be more regular....frequent.
